Can strategies from music help architects tell better stories?

“PERMISSION” is a video installation along a single office pathway, using prompts inspired by music producer Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies, an analog card-based method digitized for this project, originally developed to help musicians like David Bowie and U2 break creative blocks. It gives employees and teams a moment to pause, reflect, and think sideways. At ESI/NBBJ, it has become a practical guide for getting unstuck and clarifying ideas.
